“Former Prime Minister’s Arrest Sparks Unrest in Pakistan, India Increases Military Presence Along Border”

Written by Muhammad Shoaib

On May 9th, the former prime minister of Pakistan and chairman of the main opposition party, was arrested in front of the Islamabad High Court. Following his arrest, he was granted an 8-day remand by the court. This development has sparked unrest throughout the country, with protests erupting in several states of Pakistan.

In response to this, India has increased its military presence along the border, conducting surveillance and monitoring the situation closely. There are concerns that the Pakistani army may violate the ceasefire in the control line of the border, with India suggesting that this could be a diversionary tactic to shift focus away from the unstable situation within Pakistan.

Tensions between the two nations have been high for some time, and this latest development has only served to exacerbate the situation. The international community is closely watching the situation and urging both sides to exercise restraint and work towards a peaceful resolution of their differences.
